About Margaux Herrera, RCSWI

Margaux Herrera

Margaux Herrera is a dedicated therapist with a passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals. After witnessing the significant gap in mental health services for autistic adults, Margaux transitioned to a career in social work with the goal of making neurodivergent-affirming therapy as accessible as possible.

Margaux earned their Master of Social Work from Florida State University. During their training, they worked on the Adult & Transition team at the University of Miami's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-CARD), providing direct support to autistic individuals and their families, as well as facilitating support groups. They also contributed to the interdisciplinary team at the Mailman Center’s Progression Across Transition in Healthcare (PATH) clinic, which offers specialized care for adults with developmental disabilities. Additionally, Margaux has years of experience mentoring autistic teens and college students, focusing on social skills, life skills, and academic success.

Margaux’s therapeutic approach is highly collaborative, working with clients to find personalized solutions to their challenges and to help them achieve their goals—whatever they may be. They welcome clients who are exploring a neurodivergent identity as well as those already diagnosed. And yes, they’re also probably wondering if you need to stim more!
