Rooted in her Hispanic heritage, having been born in Cuba and raised in Miami, FL, she brings a culturally rich perspective to her practice. Extended amidst a myriad of societal experiences, she developed a profound dedication to others. Her primary drive was the desire to assist others in navigating and resolving their emotional challenges, underpinned by a profound sense of empathy and compassion, which propelled her toward Rooted Therapy. While collaborating with Dr. Porshia Cunningham, she is committed to reinforcing these ideals. Her approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, and she strives to create a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.
Ariagna pursued her passion to become a therapist and help others by pursuing studies in psychology at Florida International University. During this time, she discovered her passion and keen interest in child psychology and development, which drove her to pursue specialized training and education in this domain. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology while continuing to grow her interest in working with children and young adults. Her journey led her to continue her education to further expose her growing interest in child therapy through a deep-seated passion for aiding children and young individuals to navigate the complexities of their emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal relationships. She obtained a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. Ariagna specializes in working with children and young adults; her practice revolves around providing support and guidance to young individuals as they navigate the complexities of their emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
